THE PROBLEM
Every dentist has attended a Dental CE Course that was taught by an ‘expert’ in front of the room, lecturing from a PowerPoint while attendees just sit at tables. Many of these transmission-based learning sessions are largely forgettable, leaving attendees with minimal retention of the information and content presented.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At ALTA Adventures, we believe there is a better way for dentists to learn. We believe in the power of experiential learning, where dentists are immersed in experiences that arouse their faculties and call out the very best in them, both physically and mentally. Research proves that people learn best when they are active participants discovering and uncovering the learning objectives rather than just behaving as passive receivers. We will create meaning out of challenging and unifying adventures by extrapolating principles to guide our decision-making, attitudes, and beliefs about our work and, most importantly, the people with whom we work.
OUR SOLUTION
ALTA Adventures is partnering with The American Dental Anesthesia Education Society to bring you an incredible adventure followed up with a powerful reflection and discovery session that addresses the many facets of fear and how it affects dental practices. Whether it is handling a medical emergency in the office or helping a fearful patient, this session will prepare dental professionals to be prepared to respond appropriately, calmly, and with dignity.

WAIVERS
All participants must complete the Alta Adventures liability waiver listed below before the start of the adventure. If your adventure is in Queen Creek Canyon, the additional Queen Creek Coalition liability waiver must also be completed. These are required for land access and guide insurance.
